A More Descriptive Title for Prestige. I believe one reason folks find prestige so confusing is that the title, while vibrant, does not describe very well what the number means. A more practical, if more sterile, name for OSRS gold this attribute would be"sequential unrepeated flooring". Because that's what prestige is: it represents the number of different dungeon flooring you have completed without repeating some of these. Keep this simple truth in mind and it will help you to understand the rest of this page.
XP in Dungeoneering is rewarded upon completion of a dungeon floor, and is calculated by starting with a base XP value and then applying modifiers. The foundation XP is determined by different factors, including the amount of critters your team murdered and the number of rooms were explored. But the chief determinant of base XP is just two numbers: the floor number along with your prestige amount.
Two base XP amounts are calculated, one based on the ground and one based on prestige; these are then averaged to think of a last base XP worth to which modifiers like bonus rooms and problem are applied. Since the numbers are averaged, you get more XP for performing deeper levels, but only if you do them while still keeping prestige high as well.
The prestige figure used for calculating XP is that the higher of your current progress or your prior progress (which I'll explain in a minute ). However, you only get this advancement figure should you do a floor you have not done previously on buy RS gold your current run of floors. If you replicate a floor, the game uses a prestige figure of zero, significantly lowering your XP!
