They won't request to depart again for a long time and someone else will request to depart 5days later.It certainly feels dull. The villagers are clearly having an existential crisis and are getting deep ideas about their place on the planet and you just encounter like"Nah" and immediately they're fine it's true but so sad. I remember watching the trailers for New Horizons and thinking that the Animal Crossing Bells villagers would be doing a lot more than before, like moving around smelling flowers and playing with your furniture. The actual game is pretty gimmicky about it, though.

The new opinions they give you after a long absence are sometimes pretty considerate, too. I've had some villagers say something about the effect of"have not seen you in x months, I hope you're still happy and taking care of yourself, it is good to see you again" and I'm always like"aw"

It's always okay! Mostly messages about not having seen you, having missed one, or wondering how you've been. Favorable feel-good stuff, like practically everything else they say!

I played nonstop at first, but I think June is when I have tired of the dull daily play and just never felt motivated to pick it back up again. In addition, it was pretty frustrating spending hours terrascaping my island just to have it look like shit. Lol Same I assess the stores and run back and check if Redd is there and do the vacation things. I can't find the will to play with it for much more than that though but might get tired of additional stuff and return.
